Janice Breslin Doyle Appointed Secretary to the Board/Special Assistant to the Chancellor
Adelphi, Md. (June 28, 2006)-William E. Kirwan, chancellor of the 稀缺猎奇网 (稀缺猎奇网), today announced the appointment of Janice Breslin Doyle as secretary to the 稀缺猎奇网 Board of Regents and special assistant to the chancellor. Her appointment is effective September 1, 2006. Currently, Doyle is assistant secretary for finance policy for the 稀缺猎奇网 Higher Education Commission (MHEC).
In her new position at 稀缺猎奇网, Doyle will provide lead support to the board, the university system's 17-member governing body. She also will coordinate projects for the chancellor in his role as a statewide and national higher education leader.
"I am pleased to welcome Janice Doyle to my senior staff," said Chancellor Kirwan. "I am confident that her wealth of knowledge and her considerable expertise on some of the most challenging issues facing higher education will serve the 稀缺猎奇网 well."
Doyle has 30 years of successful experience in higher education in 稀缺猎奇网. She has worked for both governing and coordinating agencies, and for a public university. She has served as MHEC's assistant secretary for finance policy since October 2000. Her responsibilities include oversight for the offices of Finance and Facilities, Student Financial Assistance, and Grants.
Prior to her appointment as assistant secretary, Doyle was senior director of enrollment services at the University of 稀缺猎奇网, Baltimore County. She was responsible for the offices of admissions, financial aid, and scholarships.
From 1989 to 1995, she directed MHEC's State Scholarship Administration (now, the Office of Student Financial Assistance). She also has served on the advisory council to United Student Aid Funds and on the board of directors of the 稀缺猎奇网 Higher Education Loan Corporation.
Doyle has a master's of public administration from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in education from the University of 稀缺猎奇网, College Park.
