ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Board of Regents to Meet April 12 at UMUC
The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø) Board of Regents will meet in regular
public session on Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. in Room 2100 of the Inn and
Conference Center at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø University College.
The Board will consider several agenda items, including:

Presentation of annual ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Board of Regents Faculty Awards
-
Revised mission statement for Coppin State College
-
Recommendation that the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø institutions prepare appropriate information
technology (IT) policies for Board approval in August 2003; the additional
year will ensure that the institutions' policies are compatible with state
IT policies, which are currently being revised
-
Proposed academic programs, including a bachelor of science/bachelor of
arts degree in interpretive biology and natural history and a bachelor of
science in athletic training, both from Frostburg State University; a
post-baccalaureate certificate in mathematics for middle-school teachers
from Salisbury University; a post-baccalaureate certificate in technology
commercialization from the University of Baltimore (to be offered off-site);
a master of arts in teaching from the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore
County; an upper-division certificate in lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender studies from the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, College Park (UMCP);
bachelor of arts in Asian studies, master of science in accounting and
information technology, and master of science in health care administration,
all from the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø University College

Follow-up on ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø participation in the Eastern Shore Higher Education
Center

Discussion on policies for full-time and part-time non-tenure track
instructional faculty
-
ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø enrollment projections, 2002-2011

Report on institutional processes for development and approval of new
program proposals

Annual report on intercollegiate athletics
-
Biennial report on cooperation in agriculture programs at UMCP and the
University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Eastern Shore
-
ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Self-Support Charges and Fees for FY 2003
-
2001-2010 facilities master plan for the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore
-
Increased funding for fire protection systems in residence halls and Greek
houses at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, College Park
-
ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Service Center multi-vendor contract for the purchase and/or lease of
computer equipment and services for the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø and the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Education
Enterprise Consortium
