Regents' Education Policy Committee to Meet January 16 at University of
ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore
The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø) Board of Regents Committee on
Education Policy will meet in regular public session on Tuesday, January 16
beginning shortly after 9 a.m. in the Terrace Lounge of the Baltimore Student
Union at the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø, Baltimore. The Student Union is located at
621 West Lombard Street in Baltimore.
The committee will consider several agenda items, including the
following:
- Procedures for appealing to the Board of Regents decisions to terminate
tenured or tenure-track faculty members for cause.
- Annual report on campus crime.
- Report on current activities and future plans at the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Sea Grant
Program. The report will be presented by Donald F. Boesch, president of the
University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Center for Environmental Science, and Jonathan Kramer,
director of the Sea Grant program.
- Scholastic Aptitude Test results from the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø institutions.
- Financial enhancement requests from the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø's historically black
institutions, in keeping with the partnership agreement between the State of
ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø and the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights. Bowie
State University, Coppin State College, and the University of ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Eastern
Shore will receive accelerated capital funding and enhanced operating funds
under the terms of the agreement.
- Revised policy on annual leave for faculty.
