The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø Student Council (ϡȱÁÔÆæÍøSC)
is one of four councils established during the restructuring of higher education in ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø in 1988. The ϡȱÁÔÆæÍøSC represents the over
175,000 students in the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø's 12 institutions and 3 regional higher education centers.
Created to advise the Chancellor, the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍøSC derives its authority from the Board of Regents. The primary function of the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍøSC is to advise the Chancellor, Board of Regents, and elected officials on issues, matters, and policies having a direct bearing on students and student affairs in the ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø.
The General Body of the Council consists of the presidents of the graduate and undergraduate student governments at each ϡȱÁÔÆæÍø institution or regional center. The Council is led by an elected Executive Board (President; Vice President for Graduate Affairs; Vice President for Undergraduate Affairs) and an appointed Board of Directors (for communications and marketing; governmental relations; student affairs; and diversity, equity, and inclusion).
